Possible Causes
Open-circuit DHW NTC sensor, Shorted DHW NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing electrical components.
- 1. Power cycle: Turn the heater off and back on. If A07 reappears immediately, the DHW temperature sensor circuit is likely faulty.
- 2. Locate DHW NTC sensor: On Beretta water heaters, the DHW NTC is usually clipped to or inserted into the domestic hot water outlet pipe or secondary heat exchanger.
- 3. Visual inspection: Check that the sensor is firmly attached and that its cable is not damaged or pulled out of the connector.
- 4. Resistance check (technician): With power off, disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter. Compare to Beretta's temperature/resistance chart. Replace if out of range or open/shorted.
- 5. Wiring and PCB: If the sensor is good, a technician should check continuity of the wiring back to the control board and test the board's sensor input.
