Possible Causes
Cracked condensate trap, Loose condensate hose, Blocked condensate outlet, Incorrect flue slope
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power. Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves and eye protection.
Steps:
- Inspect condensate trap and hoses: Check for cracks, loose connections, or perished rubber hoses. Reseat or replace as needed.
- Clear blockage: Remove the trap and flush with clean water to clear any sludge or debris.
- Check flue slope: Ensure the flue is installed with the correct fall back to the heater or to the terminal as specified by Biasi, so condensate drains correctly.
Note: Persistent internal condensate leaks can damage the heat exchanger and PCB; address promptly.
