Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close the water isolation valves. Place a container or towels to catch dripping water.
Steps:
- Locate leak source: Remove the front panel and visually inspect for drips around the pump, heat exchanger, and pipe unions.
- Tighten unions: Gently tighten any accessible compression or union fittings that are visibly leaking. Do not overtighten.
- Check pressure relief valve (PRV): If water is discharging from the PRV outlet pipe, system pressure may be too high or the PRV may be faulty.
- Dry and monitor: After minor tightening, dry the area and monitor for further leaks.
Important: A leaking heat exchanger or pump seal usually requires component replacement by a qualified technician. Do not ignore persistent leaks as they can damage the PCB and electrics.
