Possible Causes
Open tank temperature sensor, Tripped ECO, Faulty gas control valve temperature circuit, Wiring damage to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn gas control to OFF and allow the tank to cool. Turn off electrical power if present.
Steps:
- Inspect sensor wiring: Check the small sensor harness from the tank to the ICON control for damage or disconnection.
- Reset ECO (if external): Some models have an external ECO reset button. Press to reset if present.
- Test sensor: With power off, measure resistance of the sensor and compare to Bradford White specs. Replace if open/shorted.
If the fault remains, the ICON gas control valve is likely defective and must be replaced by a qualified technician.
