• Inspect PCB area: Remove the front cover and access the control board. Look for burn marks, swollen capacitors, or corrosion.
• Check all connectors: Reseat all multi-pin connectors to the PCB, including power, sensors, fan, and gas valve. Ensure earth connections are tight.
• Verify supply voltage: Use a multimeter to confirm that the supply voltage is within the range specified on the rating plate. Over- or under-voltage can cause PCB errors.
• Dry any moisture: If there are signs of condensation or water ingress, identify and fix the leak (e.g., from internal pipework) and gently dry the PCB area. Do not use excessive heat.
• Replace PCB if needed: If E09 persists after checks, the main PCB is likely faulty. Replacement and configuration (if required) should be done by a Chaffoteaux-trained technician.
