Possible Causes

Defective flue gas NTC, Damaged sensor wiring, Overheated flue due to blockage, Loose sensor in flue hood

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and gas. Risk of flue gas spillage if flue is blocked.

  • Inspect flue gas sensor: Locate the NTC sensor on the flue hood or outlet. Check that it is firmly fixed and not hanging loose.
  • Check wiring: Follow the cable back to the PCB, looking for heat damage or cuts. Reseat connectors.
  • Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at ambient temperature. Compare with manufacturer data. Replace if out of range.
  • Check for flue blockage: If the sensor shows signs of overheating (discoloration), inspect the flue for partial blockage and correct any installation issues.
