Possible Causes
Stuck DHW flow switch or turbine, Blocked inlet filter, Very low water flow rate, Faulty microswitch on water valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Close the cold water isolation valve and switch off power before disassembling water components.
- Check tap flow: Open the hot tap fully. If flow is weak, clean aerators and check household water pressure.
- Clean inlet filter: Remove and rinse the mesh filter on the cold inlet of the heater.
- Inspect flow switch/turbine: Remove the DHW flow sensor or mechanical flow switch. Clean any debris or limescale and ensure free movement.
- Test microswitch (if fitted): On older hydraulic water valves, operate the lever by hand and listen for a click. Check continuity with a multimeter. Replace the microswitch or water valve assembly if faulty.
