Possible Causes
Unresolved underlying error (ignition, overheat, sensor), Control board safety lockout, Incorrect reset procedure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset the unit without addressing the root cause; this can be unsafe.
Steps to check:
- Note any error codes that appeared before E19. Those codes indicate the underlying problem that must be fixed first.
- Disconnect power for at least 10 minutes to clear the lockout on most CTC models.
- After restoring power, run the unit and observe for the original fault code. Use the appropriate troubleshooting steps for that code.
- If E19 appears immediately on power-up with no prior codes, the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
