Possible Causes
Incorrectly installed outlet thermistor, Wrong replacement sensor part number, Faulty main control PCB calibration, Loose sensor connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
Steps to check:
- Confirm that the outlet thermistor installed is the correct CTC part number for your specific model.
- Verify that the sensor is fully inserted into its well or firmly clamped to the outlet pipe as designed.
- Inspect and reseat the thermistor connector at both the sensor and the main control PCB.
- If the sensor was recently replaced and E7 appeared immediately, reinstall the original sensor (if available) to confirm whether the new part is defective.
- If all hardware checks out, the calibration data in the main control PCB may be corrupted and the board may need replacement or reprogramming by an authorized CTC technician.
