Possible Causes
One failed heating element (dual-element electric), Misadjusted thermostat, Partially closed mixing valve, Sediment buildup reducing capacity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing thermostats or elements.
Steps to check:
- Verify the set temperature on the CTC control panel; increase within safe limits (typically 49–60°C / 120–140°F).
- For electric models, test both upper and lower heating elements and thermostats. Replace any open elements or faulty thermostats.
- Inspect any external or built-in thermostatic mixing valve for partial closure; adjust or replace if it is limiting temperature.
- Drain several liters from the tank to check for heavy sediment. If present, perform a full tank flush to restore capacity.
