Possible Causes
Incorrect or non-genuine NTC sensor fitted, Poor thermal contact between sensor and pipe, Control PCB calibration fault, Mixed sensor types on inlet and outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working inside the unit.
- Verify sensors: Confirm that both inlet and outlet NTC sensors are genuine Dimplex parts with matching specifications. Replace any non-original or mismatched sensors.
- Improve thermal contact: Ensure sensors are firmly clamped to the pipe or fully inserted into their wells with thermal paste if specified by Dimplex.
- Check wiring consistency: Make sure sensors are connected to the correct terminals on the PCB (inlet vs outlet). Swap only if installation documentation indicates misconnection.
- Reset unit: After corrections, power cycle the heater and test temperature stability.
Note: If E08 persists, the control PCB may require replacement or firmware update by an authorized service agent.
