Possible Causes
Blocked inlet filter, Partially closed isolation valve, Limescale in flow path, Faulty flow sensor not registering low flows
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off electrical power and close the water supply before disassembly.
- Check valves: Confirm that the cold water isolation valve to the Dimplex heater is fully open. Check any upstream stopcocks or pressure-reducing valves.
- Clean inlet filter: Disconnect the cold inlet union and remove the mesh filter. Clean thoroughly under running water and reinstall.
- Descale flow path: If in a hard water area, consider descaling the inlet and heat exchanger using a pump and approved descaling solution, following Dimplex instructions.
- Test flow sensor: With power off, remove and inspect the flow sensor. Clean any debris and ensure free movement. Replace if worn or seized.
Test: Restore water and power, then open a hot tap fully. If E10 persists despite good flow, the flow sensor or PCB may need replacement.
