Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Blocked air intake or exhaust, Faulty fan speed sensor, Loose fan connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the fan compartment.
- Check vents: Ensure that air intake and exhaust grilles are not blocked by dust, insulation, or objects. Clean as needed.
- Inspect fan: Remove the cover and locate the fan assembly. Check that the fan blades spin freely by hand and are not obstructed.
- Verify connections: Reseat the fan motor connector on the PCB. Look for signs of overheating or corrosion.
- Test fan: If you have the skills and tools, apply appropriate test voltage to the fan motor to confirm operation. Replace the fan assembly if it does not run.
Note: If the fan runs but E14 persists, the fan speed sensor or PCB may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
