• Reduce the thermostat setting to the lowest comfortable temperature (typically 55–60°C) and use a mixing valve for scald protection.
• Check for continuous circulation of hot water in recirculation loops; install timers or thermostatic controls if needed.
• Inspect the heater for signs of insulation damage; if the jacket is warm in many areas, internal insulation may be compromised and the tank may need replacement.
• Descale or replace the heating flange if heavy limescale is present.
• Verify that check valves on hot water circuits are functioning to prevent unwanted circulation.
