Possible Causes
Failed inlet NTC sensor, sensor not seated in well, broken sensor wiring, corroded connector on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect electrical power before servicing.
Diagnosis steps:
- Locate the cold water inlet NTC sensor (often in a pocket near the cold inlet or on the lower part of the tank).
- Unplug the sensor from the control board and measure resistance at room temperature; compare with the expected NTC curve.
- If the sensor is open or shorted, replace it with a Drazice-compatible inlet NTC sensor.
- Check that the sensor is fully inserted into its well and that the well is not blocked by scale or debris.
- Inspect and clean the connector pins on the control board; reseat the plug firmly.
- Restore power and confirm that E4 disappears and the heater resumes normal operation.
