High humidity installation location, Dripping plumbing above unit, Inadequate ventilation, Missing or damaged cabinet gaskets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power if water is present near electrical components.
- Identify moisture source: Check for leaking pipes, fittings, or roof leaks above the heater. Repair any external leaks.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure the installation area has adequate airflow to reduce humidity. Avoid installing in unventilated, damp spaces.
- Seal cabinet: Inspect door gaskets and cable entry points. Replace damaged gaskets and seal openings with appropriate grommets.
- Dry the unit: Use a fan or gentle heat to dry internal components thoroughly before restoring power.
- Inspect for corrosion: If corrosion is advanced on the control board or connectors, replacement may be necessary.
