Moisture control steps:

• Inspect all plumbing connections above and around the heater for leaks. Repair any leaks and dry the area.
• Ensure the front cover is properly installed and any gaskets or seals are intact.
• Improve ventilation in the area to reduce humidity, especially in small closets.
• If condensation is due to very cold inlet water, insulate nearby cold pipes to reduce dripping onto the unit.
• Allow the interior to dry completely before restoring power. Use a fan if necessary.

Persistent moisture can damage the control board and sensors; address the root cause promptly.
