E10
Eemax
Flow Rate Too Low / Minimum Flow Not Reached
Display shows E10; unit does not heat and may not detect flow correctly.

Possible Causes
Partially closed inlet valve, Clogged inlet filter screen, Low household water pressure, Flow sensor miscalibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before removing any covers or filters.
Flow restoration steps:
- Verify that the cold water supply valve to the Eemax heater is fully open.
- Check household water pressure; Eemax units typically require a minimum pressure (e.g., 30 psi). If pressure is low, address plumbing or municipal supply issues.
- Remove the front cover and locate the inlet filter screen or strainer. Shut off water, remove the filter, and clean debris under running water.
- Inspect the flow sensor for scale or debris that could affect sensitivity. Clean as needed.
- Ensure that downstream fixtures are not overly restricted; extremely low-flow aerators may prevent the heater from activating. Test with a higher-flow fixture.
- Reassemble, open water supply, restore power, and test by opening a hot tap fully to see if E10 clears and heating resumes.
If adequate flow is confirmed but E10 persists, the flow sensor assembly may be faulty and should be replaced.
