Possible Causes
Failed keypad or display board, Loose ribbon cable, Moisture damage to interface, Control board communication error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power at the breaker before removing the cover.
Interface checks:
- Remove the front cover and locate the user interface or display board on the front panel.
- Inspect the ribbon cable or harness connecting the interface to the main control board. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Check the interface board for signs of moisture, corrosion, or physical damage. If present, correct the source of moisture and dry the board.
- If buttons are unresponsive or the display is erratic, replace the user interface/display board with the correct Eemax part.
- If replacing the interface does not resolve E12, the main control board may have a communication fault and should be replaced.
After replacement, restore power and verify that all buttons and temperature settings function correctly.
