Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Electrical safety: Turn OFF the main breaker before opening any panels. Use a non-contact tester to confirm power is off.
Steps to restore power:
- Check the dedicated breaker feeding the Eemax heater in the electrical panel. Reset if tripped. If it trips again immediately, do not force it; there is a fault that must be found.
- Remove the front cover of the heater and inspect the line voltage terminal block. Tighten any loose screws and look for burned insulation or melted plastic. Replace damaged wiring.
- Some Eemax models include an internal fuse on the control board. With power OFF, locate and test the fuse with a multimeter. Replace only with the same type and rating if blown.
- Verify that the high-limit safety (if wired in series with power) has not opened. Reset if it has a manual reset button.
- Restore power and check if the display lights up. If still dead, the main control board may have failed and should be replaced.
If breakers continue to trip or wiring is damaged, contact a licensed electrician or technician.
