Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display board and main PCB, Faulty touch panel or keypad, Moisture ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before opening the control panel.
Steps:
- Remove front/control cover: Access the display and keypad assembly on the Eldom heater.
- Check connectors: Locate the ribbon cable or multi-pin connector between the display/keypad board and the main control PCB. Unplug and replug it, ensuring it is fully seated and not corroded.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or water traces inside the control housing. Dry gently with a cloth and allow the unit to air dry thoroughly before reassembly.
- Test buttons: With power restored, test each button. If some keys do not respond and E06 persists, the keypad membrane or display board is likely faulty.
- Replace UI module: Install a compatible Eldom display/keypad module if the original is defective.
