Possible Causes
Blocked flow sensor, Damaged turbine wheel, Faulty flow sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close water supply before opening any water connections.
Steps:
- Locate flow sensor: On Eldom instantaneous or hybrid water heaters, the flow sensor is usually installed on the cold water inlet manifold.
- Clean the sensor: Remove the sensor housing according to the manual. Inspect the turbine or paddle wheel for debris, scale, or damage. Rinse and clean gently.
- Check wiring: Inspect the sensor cable and connector to the control PCB for damage or corrosion.
- Test operation: Reassemble, open water supply, and bleed air. Restore power and check if E13 clears when water is flowing.
- Replace sensor: If the turbine is broken or the sensor does not send pulses, replace the flow sensor assembly with an Eldom-compatible part.
