Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Faulty wall switch or isolator, Loose connections at heater terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Only qualified persons should work on electrical panels. Always verify power is off before touching wiring.
Steps:
- Check breaker and RCD: Inspect the electrical panel for a tripped breaker or RCD protecting the Eldom heater. Reset if tripped; if it trips again, there is a fault that must be diagnosed.
- Verify wall switch: If there is a dedicated heater switch, ensure it is ON and not defective.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the heater's electrical cover and check the terminal block for loose or burned wires. Tighten screws and replace damaged connectors.
- Measure voltage: With a multimeter and appropriate safety, confirm rated voltage is present at the heater terminals when switched on.
If power is present but the heater still does not operate, further diagnosis of thermostats, elements, or control PCB is required.
