E10
Electrolux
Insufficient Water Pressure / Flow Start Error
Display shows E10; unit does not start heating when hot water is demanded
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Low incoming water pressure, Partially closed inlet valve, Clogged inlet filter or strainers, Faulty pressure switch (on storage-type models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing any covers or plumbing components.
Steps:
- 1. Check household water pressure: Ensure other taps in the home have normal pressure. If whole-house pressure is low, contact your water supplier or plumber.
- 2. Verify valves: Confirm that the cold water isolation valve to the heater is fully open.
- 3. Clean inlet filter and aerators: Remove and clean the heater's inlet filter screen and any faucet aerators that may be restricting flow.
- 4. Storage-type models: If your Electrolux water heater uses a pressure switch, locate it on the cold inlet or tank top. Check tubing for kinks or blockages and test the switch for continuity when pressurized.
- 5. Replace faulty pressure switch: If the switch does not close under normal pressure, replace it with an OEM part.
Professional help: If E10 persists despite good water pressure and clean filters, a technician should check the flow/pressure sensing circuitry on the PCB.
