Steps:

• 1. Locate level sensor: On models with electronic level control, find the level probes or sensor assembly on the tank.
• 2. Clean probes: Remove mineral deposits from metal probes using a non-abrasive pad and descaling solution. Rinse thoroughly.
• 3. Check wiring: Ensure all level sensor wires are firmly connected and not damaged.
• 4. Verify tank ground: Confirm that the tank is properly grounded as per installation instructions; some level systems rely on tank ground reference.
• 5. Replace sensor: If cleaning and wiring checks do not resolve E17, replace the level sensor assembly.

Professional help: If the control board still reports level errors after sensor replacement, PCB diagnostics are required.
