Possible Causes
Incorrect electrode gap or position, Poor burner grounding, Faulty ignition transformer on control board, Damaged ignition cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off gas and power before adjusting electrodes.
- Inspect ignition and ionization electrodes: Check for cracks in ceramic insulators, burnt tips, or carbon tracking. Replace if damaged.
- Adjust electrode gap: Using the Fondital service manual, set the correct distance between ignition electrode and burner surface. Ensure the ionization electrode is fully in the flame path.
- Check grounding: Verify that the burner and chassis earth connections are tight and free of corrosion. Poor grounding can cause unstable flame detection.
- Ignition cable: Inspect the high‑voltage cable for cuts or burn marks. Replace if insulation is compromised.
- Control board: If all mechanical parts are correct and A06 persists, the ignition circuit on the electronic control board may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a qualified technician.
