Possible Causes
DHW flow sensor not detecting flow, Gas valve not opening in DHW mode, Diverter valve stuck in heating position, Blocked DHW plate heat exchanger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water supply before removing covers or hydraulic parts.
- Confirm demand: Open a hot tap fully and check if the burner indicator appears on the display. If not, suspect the DHW flow sensor.
- Check DHW flow sensor: Clean or replace the DHW flow sensor as it may be stuck or scaled.
- Diverter valve: If heating works but DHW does not, the diverter valve may be stuck. A technician should inspect and free or replace the diverter cartridge.
- Descale plate heat exchanger: In hard water areas, the DHW plate heat exchanger can block, preventing heat transfer. Have it chemically descaled or replaced.
