Gledhill water heater frequently cycles on and off, causing temperature swings and wear

Safety: Isolate power before moving sensors or accessing the PCB.

Steps:

• Sensor placement: Ensure the main store sensor is in the correct pocket and not directly in line with a hot inlet that could cause rapid temperature changes.
• Boiler settings: Adjust boiler anti‑cycle and minimum run time settings (if available) to reduce short cycling when serving the Gledhill store.
• Check thermostat: Replace a faulty thermostat that switches too frequently or has an abnormally small differential.
• PCB replacement: If control logic is clearly erratic and other causes are ruled out, the main PCB may need replacement.

Note: Some cycling is normal, but rapid on/off every few minutes indicates a problem that should be addressed.
