Possible Causes
Blocked turbine flow sensor, Limescale on turbine, Damaged sensor electronics, Incorrect installation orientation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate electrical power and close the cold water isolation valve before removing any hydraulic components.
Steps to address E14:
- 1. Clean inlet filter: Remove and clean the inlet filter to ensure debris is not reaching the turbine.
- 2. Access turbine sensor: Remove the cover and locate the turbine flow sensor assembly. Carefully remove it according to the service manual.
- 3. Descale and clean: Rinse the turbine under clean water. If limescale is present, soak in a suitable descaling solution approved for potable water, then rinse thoroughly.
- 4. Inspect O-rings: Check and replace any O-rings or seals disturbed during removal to prevent leaks.
- 5. Refit and test: Reassemble, restore water and power, and run a hot tap. If E14 persists, replace the turbine sensor assembly.
