Possible Causes
Defective fan speed sensor, Fan motor failure, Loose fan connector on PCB, Control board output fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching the fan or control board.
- Check fan connector: Locate the multi-pin plug from the fan to the PCB. Ensure it is fully seated and not heat-damaged.
- Visual inspection: Look for signs of water ingress or corrosion on the fan housing and connector.
- Listen for fan start: With the cover on and power restored, call for hot water and listen. If the fan hums but does not spin, the motor is likely faulty.
- Do not bypass safety: Never attempt to bypass the fan or its sensor. If C6 remains, the fan assembly or PCB must be tested and replaced by a professional.
