Possible Causes
Mains voltage too low or too high, Loose supply terminals in heater, Undersized wiring causing voltage drop, Faulty voltage sensing on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Only qualified persons should work on mains wiring. Turn off power at the main breaker before opening the terminal cover.
- 1. Measure supply voltage: With a multimeter and appropriate safety precautions, measure voltage at the heater’s supply terminals. Compare to the rating on the Kospel nameplate.
- 2. Inspect terminals: With power off, check that all supply conductors are firmly clamped in the terminal block. Tighten loose screws to specified torque.
- 3. Check cable size: Ensure the supply cable cross-section meets Kospel’s installation requirements. Undersized cables can cause voltage drop under load.
- 4. Upstream issues: If household voltage is unstable, consult an electrician or utility provider. A stabilizer may be required in extreme cases.
- 5. PCB sensing: If voltage is within range but E13 persists, the voltage-sensing circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require board replacement.
