Possible Causes
Severely scaled heat exchanger, Flow rate below design, Incorrect power configuration, Faulty temperature sensing causing miscalculation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and allow the heater to cool before servicing.
- 1. Check flow rate: Confirm that the water flow meets Kospel’s minimum for the selected power. Clean inlet filters and open valves fully.
- 2. Descale heat exchanger: In hard-water areas, perform a chemical descaling of the heat exchanger following Kospel’s procedure, or replace the exchanger if heavily blocked.
- 3. Verify power setting: Ensure the heater’s configured power does not exceed the available flow and installation design.
- 4. Sensor check: Confirm inlet and outlet NTC sensors are accurate and correctly installed; replace any faulty sensors.
