Possible Causes
Faulty outlet NTC sensor reading too low, Stuck power relay or triac keeping elements on, Incorrect wiring of sensors, Scaled heat exchanger causing localized overheating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power immediately to avoid scalding and damage. Allow the unit to cool.
- 1. Verify settings: Confirm the set temperature on the control panel is reasonable.
- 2. Check outlet NTC: Inspect and test the outlet temperature sensor. Replace if resistance does not match Kospel specifications.
- 3. Inspect control board: Look for stuck or welded power relays/triacs that may be energizing elements continuously. Replace the main PCB if necessary.
- 4. Descale heat exchanger: If overheating occurs at normal settings, descale the heat exchanger to improve heat transfer and reduce hotspots.
