Lochinvar water heater display is blank or unreadable, but unit still heats water.

Safety: Turn off power before removing the front panel or display module.

Steps:

• 1. Check contrast/brightness: Some models have adjustable display settings; verify they are not turned down.
• 2. Reseat cable: Remove the front cover and reseat the ribbon or harness cable between the display and main board.
• 3. Inspect for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or leaks above the display. Correct any water source.
• 4. Replace display: If the unit operates but the display remains blank or garbled, replace the display/user interface module with the correct Lochinvar part.
