How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before unplugging any internal cables.
Steps:
- 1. Check remote/controller cable: If using a Navien remote controller, inspect the cable from the unit to the remote for damage or loose connections. Reseat both ends.
- 2. Inspect front panel board: Remove the front cover and ensure the ribbon cable between the front display board and main PCB is firmly seated.
- 3. Power cycle: After reseating cables, restore power and see if E046 clears.
If the error persists, either the front panel board or main PCB may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
