Possible Causes
Seized internal circulation pump, Air locked pump, Blocked recirculation line or check valve, Faulty pump wiring or motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power and close isolation valves before working on the pump or piping.
Steps:
- 1. Listen for pump: When the unit calls for heat or recirculation, listen for the internal pump running. A loud humming without flow or no sound at all can indicate a stuck pump.
- 2. Bleed air: If the system was recently drained or installed, air may be trapped. Use any available bleed valves on the recirculation loop or near the unit to purge air.
- 3. Check recirculation valves: Ensure any isolation valves on the recirculation loop are open and that check valves are installed correctly (arrow in direction of flow).
- 4. Inspect pump wiring: With power OFF, verify the pump connector is secure on the main PCB.
If E060 continues, the internal pump may need replacement, which should be done by a technician familiar with Navien units.
