Possible Causes
Failed display PCB, Damaged ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture ingress into control fascia, Faulty touch keypad or buttons
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before removing the front cover or control fascia.
- Inspect the fascia: Check the front of the Oso heater for cracks, water stains, or condensation behind the display window. Any sign of moisture must be addressed by fixing the leak source.
- Check the ribbon cable: Remove the control fascia carefully and inspect the ribbon or plug‑in cable connecting the display to the main PCB. Ensure it is fully seated and not kinked or damaged.
- Clean connectors: If there is light corrosion, gently clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and reassemble.
- Test button function: With power restored, see if any buttons respond. If some work intermittently, the keypad membrane may be failing.
- Replace the UI module: If E06 persists and the main PCB is known good, replace the Oso display/user interface module as a complete assembly, transferring any mounting gaskets to maintain IP rating.
After replacement, reconfigure any user settings and verify normal operation.
