How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Turn OFF power and close the gas valve before removing covers. If you are not comfortable working with gas appliances, contact a licensed technician.
- 1. Confirm gas supply stability:
- Check that other gas appliances run without flickering or going out.
- If multiple appliances cause pressure drop, avoid running them all at once or consult your gas supplier.
- 2. Inspect venting:
- Ensure the exhaust flue is not partially blocked and that the terminal is clear.
- Check for signs of condensation dripping back into the heater, which can disturb the flame.
- 3. Clean burner and flame rod (qualified persons):
- Remove the front panel.
- Access the burner assembly; vacuum dust and debris from the burner surface.
- Clean the flame rod with fine abrasive pad to remove scale or soot.
- 4. Check flame rod wiring:
- Inspect the cable from the flame rod to the control PCB for damage or loose connectors.
- Reseat connectors firmly.
- 5. If H02 recurs frequently: The gas control valve or main PCB may be failing and should be tested and replaced by an authorized Panasonic technician.
