Possible Causes
Faulty fan speed sensor (hall sensor), Loose fan wiring, Blocked fan wheel, Defective main control PCB fan circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching the fan assembly. Do not bypass safety sensors.
- 1. Listen for abnormal fan noise: Grinding or scraping sounds suggest mechanical blockage.
- 2. Inspect intake and exhaust: Clear any obstructions that could overload the fan.
- 3. Access fan assembly (qualified persons):
- Remove the front cover.
- Check that the fan wheel spins freely by hand.
- Inspect the fan motor connector and speed sensor wiring for secure fit.
- 4. Clean dust from fan: Use a soft brush and vacuum to remove buildup on blades and housing.
- 5. If H14 continues: Replace the combustion fan motor assembly (which includes the speed sensor) or have the PCB tested by an authorized Panasonic technician.
