Safety: Turn OFF power and gas before removing covers. If you smell gas, stop and call a professional.

• 1. Confirm demand:
  • Open a hot water tap fully and check if the flow is strong.
  • If flow is weak, clean faucet aerators and shower heads.
• 2. Check gas supply:
  • Ensure the gas shutoff valve to the heater is fully open.
  • Verify other gas appliances work.
• 3. Clean inlet filter:
  • Close the cold water inlet valve.
  • Remove and clean the inlet filter screen.
  • Reinstall, open valve, and test.
• 4. Observe ignition sequence:
  • With the front cover on, listen for fan and ignition clicks when hot water is demanded.
  • If nothing happens, the flow sensor may not be signaling the PCB.
• 5. If problem persists: Have a technician test the flow sensor and ignition system and replace faulty components.
