Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the main breaker before inspecting electrical connections. Only qualified persons should work on mains wiring.
- Measure supply voltage: Use a multimeter to check voltage at the appliance terminals. It must match the rating on the Protherm data plate.
- Inspect terminal block: Check that live, neutral, and earth are correctly connected and firmly tightened. Look for signs of overheating or discoloration.
- Check polarity and earth: Ensure correct polarity and a solid earth connection. Incorrect wiring can cause control board errors.
- Surge protection: If F10 occurs after storms or grid issues, consider installing a surge protector and inspect the PCB for damage. Replace the main PCB if the internal power supply is faulty.
Warning: Never work on live circuits. If you are not trained, contact an electrician or authorized Protherm service.
