Possible Causes

Blocked inlet filter, Scaled plate heat exchanger, Partially closed stop valves, Blocked aerators or shower heads

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and close water valves before removing filters or opening the unit.

  • Clean aerators: Remove and clean tap and shower aerators of debris and limescale.
  • Check stop valves: Ensure cold inlet and hot outlet valves at the Protherm heater are fully open.
  • Clean inlet filter: Remove and clean the cold water inlet filter screen.
  • Descale plate heat exchanger: If flow is still low, descale the plate heat exchanger using a pump and descaling solution.

Warning: Do not increase gas rate or temperature to compensate for low flow; correct the restriction instead.
