Possible Causes

Failed display board, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Shorted touchpad

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before removing any control panel covers.

Steps to check:

  • 1. Inspect control panel: Check for signs of water drips, condensation, or cleaning fluid residue on or behind the display. Dry thoroughly if damp.
  • 2. Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and locate the ribbon or harness between the user interface and main control board. Carefully unplug and replug it, ensuring it is fully seated.
  • 3. Look for damage: Examine the display board for burn marks, cracked components, or corrosion. Any visible damage usually requires replacement.
  • 4. Test buttons: After restoring power, test all buttons. If some are unresponsive or the display is blank, replace the user interface board.
  • 5. Check main board: If a new UI does not resolve F7, the main control board may be at fault and require replacement.

Note: Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the control panel; spray onto a cloth instead.
