Possible Causes

Stuck flow switch, Faulty turbine flow sensor, Blocked inlet filter, Wiring fault to flow sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and close the cold water inlet valve before removing any water connections.

Steps:

  • Check water pressure and flow: Open a hot tap fully. If flow is weak, check your main water supply and any pressure-reducing valves.
  • Clean inlet filter: On many Sime models, a small mesh filter is fitted at the cold water inlet. Close the inlet valve, remove the union, and carefully pull out and clean the filter.
  • Inspect flow sensor: Locate the flow switch or turbine sensor assembly. Check for debris or scale that could prevent movement. Clean gently with water.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the flow sensor connector is firmly attached to the control board and not corroded.

Professional help: If E08 persists after cleaning, the flow sensor assembly may need replacement by a technician.
