Possible Causes

Defective flow sensor not reaching start threshold, Stuck microswitch in hydraulic group, Very low mains water pressure, Faulty control board relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and close water and gas valves before opening the casing.

Steps:

  • Check water flow: Open a hot tap fully. If flow is weak, address house water pressure or partially closed valves.
  • Inspect flow sensor / hydraulic group: Locate the Sime hydraulic group and flow sensor. Check that the mechanical paddle or turbine moves freely. Clean any debris and ensure the microswitch actuates when flow is present.
  • Listen for relay click: With the cover on and power restored, open a hot tap and listen for a click from the control board. If there is no click and the flow sensor is working, the board may be faulty.

Professional help: Replacement of the hydraulic group or control board should be done by a qualified technician.
