Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Do not remove the front panel while the unit is energized.
Steps:
- Remove front cover: Access the display and keypad assembly. Carefully detach the decorative panel if needed.
- Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon or multi-wire connector between the display board and main control board. Reseat both ends, ensuring the locking tabs are engaged.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks on the display PCB, corrosion on connectors, or moisture traces. Dry any condensation and correct the source of moisture (e.g., poor sealing).
- Test operation: Reassemble temporarily, restore power, and check if E06 clears and buttons respond.
- Replace faulty UI module: If the error persists and the cable is intact, replace the Tesy display / user interface board as a complete assembly.
Technician note: If a known-good UI board still shows E06, the fault is likely on the main control board and it should be replaced.
