Possible Causes
Shorted pump or fan motor, Water ingress on electrical connections, Shorted PCB, Damaged wiring insulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Isolate the appliance and investigate the cause. Only a qualified electrician or engineer should perform insulation resistance tests.
- Visual inspection: Look for signs of water leaks onto electrical components, especially around the pump, fan, and PCB.
- Check motors: Disconnect the pump and fan in turn and test whether the breaker still trips when the appliance is powered. Replace any motor that causes tripping.
- Inspect wiring: Look for damaged or pinched cables and repair or replace as necessary.
- Test PCB: If tripping occurs with all loads disconnected, the PCB may be shorted and should be replaced.
