Water heater is leaking water from underneath the casing

Safety first: Turn off electrical power and close the cold water isolation valve. If the leak is significant, also isolate the heating flow and return valves if fitted.

• Place a container or towel under the unit to limit water damage.
• Do not remove the combustion cover yourself.

Engineer actions:

• Remove the front cover and identify the source of the leak (DHW side, primary side, safety valve, pump, etc.).
• Tighten or remake any loose compression joints.
• Replace leaking components such as the DHW plate heat exchanger, primary heat exchanger, pump seals, or safety relief valve.
