Possible Causes
Low system pressure, Faulty pressure sensor or switch, Leak in heating circuit, Air in system causing false reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the system to cool before topping up pressure. Do not over-pressurize.
- Check pressure gauge: On Weishaupt combi or system water heaters, read the pressure gauge. If below the recommended value (often around 1.0–1.5 bar cold), the system needs topping up.
- Top up system: Locate the filling loop or integrated filling valve. Open it slowly while monitoring the gauge until the correct pressure is reached, then close it securely.
- Bleed air: Bleed radiators and the automatic air vent on the unit to remove trapped air, then recheck pressure and top up again if needed.
- Inspect for leaks: Look for visible water around radiators, valves, and under the Weishaupt unit. Persistent pressure loss indicates a leak that must be repaired.
- Sensor check: If pressure is correct but E10 remains, the pressure sensor or switch may be faulty and should be tested/replaced by a technician.
