Possible Causes

Stuck diverter valve motor, Scale or debris in diverter body, Faulty diverter position sensor, DHW flow sensor not triggering valve movement

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Isolate power and close water valves before removing any hydraulic components.

  • Check DHW demand: Confirm that the Weishaupt display shows a DHW demand symbol when a hot tap is opened. If not, troubleshoot the flow sensor first.
  • Listen for valve movement: When a hot tap is opened, you should hear the diverter valve motor move. If silent, the motor or control signal may be faulty.
  • Exercise valve: A technician can remove the motor head and manually move the valve spindle to free it if stuck, then flush the system.
  • Replace diverter: If the valve body is scaled or leaking, replace the complete diverter valve assembly.
